EASTLEIGH & DISTRICT
DOG TRAINING CLUB
Welcome to Eastleigh & District Dog Training Club (EDDTC).
We are a long established dog training club and are registered with the Kennel Club. At Eastleigh, we have a strong competitive element and a wealth of expert knowledge and experience within our membership. Each member has a genuine passion for training their dog but also making it a fun experience both for handler and dog. The club believes that having a well-trained dog is a pleasure and a pure delight to own. Within our classes we cover basic pet obedience as well as competition obedience for those wishing to go on to compete. As well as dog training, we are committed to the promotion of dog sport and ultimately, responsible dog ownership. We believe that by working together we can achieve these aims.
If you have Behavioural problems we can refer you to a Behaviourist who works in conjunction with the Club.
Classes are held every Wednesday evening, except over the Christmas and New Year (you will be informed of this) in North Baddesley.
There are three obedience classes held at EDDTC;
-
Starters – six week Beginner course
-
Clever Dogs – Pet Obedience and Competitive Improvers class (working towards Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards)
-
Top Class – Competition Obedience
We welcome all abilities! Each handler has the opportunity to work they way through to the top class.
The Head Trianer, Kathy Case is a qualified Gold level Academy of Dog Trainers, Behaviourists and Assessors for that Group, as well as holding a qualification in the All Britain Dog Trainers Group. The classes are run by a variety of trainers, all of whom are qualified training instructors and experienced dog handlers.
